College prep

Your application should sound like you.

Applying to college is daunting.

I remember not always knowing where to start, what questions I was supposed to be asking, or how I was supposed to figure out what I actually wanted.

I was lucky to have a village helping me through it (shoutout Dad!), because there is a lot to figure out - what matters to you, what different schools actually offer, what you want your college experience to look like, and eventually, what the heck you’re supposed to write about in your application.

And then there’s the pressure to somehow make your application stand out.

It can all get so stressful and overwhelming that it’s easy to forget what should be at the center of the whole process: the excitement of finding the school that’s right for you.

I really believe that excitement matters. When you genuinely know why you’re excited about a school, what you’re looking for, and what makes you you, that comes through in your application. Your essays stop feeling like an assignment and start sounding like a real person.

Whether you need a general roadmap, help figuring out what you’re looking for, feedback on an essay, or just someone to talk through the process with, I’ll always start by getting to know you first. Then we’ll figure out what you actually need and go from there.
